INTRODUCTION

University Wellness Center was founded based upon the emerging gap between preventive healthcare and managed care. Today's medical system does not endorse and compensate medical professionals for preventative healthcare and health education & awareness. Often, individuals are not able to obtain insurance-based financial support until it's too late. University Pharmacy has been an integral componant of Salt Lake City community's healthcare delivery team throughout the last twenty five years by actively working with physicians and patients to improve health and wellness. Our patient care programs include disease specific diagnostic screenings, patient education programs, and outcomes management. Our target disease states include, but are not limited to: Osteoporosis * Heart Disease * Diabetes * Glaucoma * Skin Damage * Stroke Prevention * and many more. Our company focus remains in the arena of patient care services, and now includes offering our corporate and community business partners the opportunity to take advantage of preventative health care and total wellness programs. Employers who are far-sighted enough realize the incentive they have in keeping their employees healthy. University Wellness Center has the capability to identify individuals at risk for various diseases through screening, and then offers comprehensive lifestyle programs to improve health and ultimately reduce escalating healthcare costs. This has been the "missing link" in corporate wellness programs for the last several decades.
